The NS records allow you to delegate a subdomain of your domain to another DNS provider outside our own.

This is useful for large companies that may have different sites run by different hosting companies (england.bigcompanyname.com, france.bigcompanyname.com, etc.) so they can delegate those subdomains to the specific name servers for each company.

Unless you are splitting up your domain in such a fashion, you should NOT edit this information. Leaving the NS records as LOCAL automatically populates the fields with our NS records.

To edit/access, the NS records feature you will first need to make sure that the ‘Advanced DNS Records’ feature is enabled for your account.

Please do the following:

1. Log into your easyDNS account.
2. Click on PREFERENCES.

3. Under DOMAIN PREFERENCES, make sure you have YES selected for SHOW ADVANCED DNS RECORDS.

4. Make sure to click on DONE at the bottom of the page to confirm the changes.
5. Click on DNS for the domain.

6. Click on the EDIT icon for NS RECORDS.

7. Put in your host, corresponding server name, and click NEXT.

NOTE: You can use the @ symbol under HOST if you would like to make it for the root domain.

Once the changes have been made and new information propagated, anyone looking up that zone will now be relayed along to the system you have designated.
