Sometimes users will need to change the name servers for their domain either to point to their web host or to change their DNS provider. Before attempting to change name servers, you’ll want to make sure that easyDNS is the registrar for the domain as name server changes can only happen within the current registrar. Once this has been confirmed, you’ll want to do the following:
1. Log into your easyDNS account.
2. Click on WHOIS.
3. Under NAME SERVERS click on EDIT.
4. Enter your name servers in the spaces provided. You can also click on the link to use the default easyDNS name servers for your domain.
5. Click NEXT.
6. Confirm your changes.
Please note that name server updates will take 24 to 48 hours to propagate Internet-wide.
WARNING! Removing the easyDNS name servers from your domain will stop our services such as web forwarding and easyMail from working. Please be sure that your new DNS provider has a zone file set up correctly before making these changes.
